By downloading, installing, or using August, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use August.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and August. We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app. Continued use after such notification constitutes acceptance.
August is a personal productivity application that allows users to manage tasks, track expenses, scan receipts, and earn rewards (August Points) at participating merchant partners. August is provided as a mobile application for Android and iOS devices.
We offer two plans:
New accounts receive a 7-day Pro trial with full access, no credit card required. After 7 days, if you do not upgrade, your account reverts to the Free plan.
You must create an account to use August. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must not share your account with others or create accounts for persons other than yourself. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at hey@myaugust.app.
Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly at ₹149/month. Payments are processed by Razorpay and are subject to Razorpay's terms and payment processing policies.
Subscriptions are not auto-renewed. You must manually renew your subscription each month to maintain Pro access. We will send you a reminder notification 3 days before your subscription expires.
All payments are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes. Payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or where August fails to provide the service as described.
If we are unable to process your payment, your account will revert to the Free plan at the end of your current billing period.
August Points are a rewards currency earned at participating merchant partners. Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash. August reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the August Points programme at any time with reasonable notice.
August Points earned are subject to the terms of the specific merchant partner and may have expiry conditions. August is not responsible for the products, services, or terms offered by merchant partners.
You agree to use August only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
August uses Google Gemini's vision API to extract data from receipt images. This is an AI-powered feature and may occasionally produce inaccurate results. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted data before saving it. August is not liable for any financial decisions made based on AI-extracted data.
Receipt images are processed with zero data retention — they are not stored by Google after processing. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
August offers a referral programme where you and a referred friend each receive ₹50 credit when the referred friend subscribes to a Pro plan. Credits are applied automatically for up to 3 months. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred. August reserves the right to modify or terminate the referral programme at any time.
Abuse of the referral programme — including self-referrals, fraudulent accounts, or automated referrals — will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of all credits.
August and all its content, features, design, code, and branding — including the August name, logo, and "august." wordmark — are owned by August and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from August's intellectual property without our express written permission.
Your personal data — your tasks, expenses, and financial records — belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the August service.
August is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that August will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not provide financial, tax, or accounting advice. August is a personal tracking tool — any financial decisions you make based on data in August are your own responsibility.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, August and its founders, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of August. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to August in the 3 months preceding the claim.
You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting hey@myaugust.app. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason at our discretion with reasonable notice.
Upon termination, your right to use August ceases immediately. We will delete your personal data within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
